Culture and nature: Uganda has both in abundance. You will visit the ‘Karamojong’ tribe and the ‘Ik’ tribe – who live in seclusion on the peaks of Mount Morungole. And in between you will enjoy nature: the waterfalls, the rivers, the wild animals.
Uganda has a rich, unique culture
Uganda is a warm country – literally, but especially figuratively. You are welcome here. During the Culture & Nature tour we show you as much of the real Ugandan life as possible. Your tour guide ensures that there is a lot of interaction with the local population. You step into their world. In this way you get to know life in Uganda in a very relaxed way. For example, you do activities that have been developed and are carried out by the community. Think of cooking workshops with a group of women from the village. Or you go out into the country to harvest or plant.
There are few things more beautiful than nature in Uganda
Uganda is super diverse. A few hours drive and you are in a whole new landscape. You can leave the chimpanzees in the deep green jungle and a little later you are in the middle of the savannah between the lions. A little later you are in the middle of a mountain range. All these landscapes have their own vegetation and wildlife. In short: you have a lot of variety while you are traveling. You see a lot in a relatively short time.

Uganda is full of special places. So what you will see and do during your tour is actually too much to mention. These are a few of our highlights:
Visiting tribes in Uganda
During your culture & nature tour you will visit tribes. One of the tribes you will visit is the Karamojong, in the northeast of Uganda. They are cattle farmers, a nomadic people. You will participate in their daily activities. From preparing a meal, to collecting cattle, attending village meetings. They live according to age-old traditions. You will become part of that. The most important thing: it is authentic, so you will not end up in a play. In addition to the Karamojong, you can visit the ‘Ik’ tribe. That is a slightly bigger challenge: they live isolated, high in the mountains. You will hike for a day to the top of Mount Morungole to visit the ‘Ik’ tribe and watch with them.
Gorillas and chimpanzees are constantly on the move. Sometimes you find them after half an hour of hiking, sometimes you are on the road for a few hours.
A tour lasts as long as you want. Prices depend on the duration of your trip and the size of your group.
Are you coming with a group of 5 people? Then you can go on a 14-day trip for around €2,870 per person. Are you coming with two people? Then you pay around €3,900 per person for a 14-day trip.
